I get the error "camera not found" when I try to access my camera with the Twain driver in windows 2000. When I first got the camera, it worked fine in win2k for months. Then one day, it started giving me that error message. I re-installed the drivers and checked the camera.. I could find no problem. I re-installed win2k a few weeks later and it worked again.
I'm having the same problem now, although I haven't re-installed win2k again. I think I removed every little bit of its driver from windows and the registry, but it still gives the same problem.
A few other tidbits:
- the camera shows up fine as a USB device
- the twain driver is the only way to access its data
- there is only one driver set available (on the original CD) and there were no updates to this camera's firmware
- new batteries don't help
- toshiba support doesn't help much other than show me basic fixes
Thanks in advance for any information 🙂
