You're right allisolm. I got a little bit too excited when I saw the $700 price tag and thought that's the model. I believe it doesn't appear on the BB site. Two people posted this deal at the same minute!

Nothing special about this deal. You can essentially get the same Notebook from Costco at the same exact price. Except for $699 at Costco they are giving you 512MB instead of 256MB of RAM and I think an 80GB hard drive.

1. Not everyone has Costco.
2. This notebook is $399.99 not $699.

As Dark Jedi mentioned in the other BB thread, there is a coupon on the BB website for 10% off for "fire, police and rescue workers, as well as active duty, reserve and retired military personnel". Good in-store May 26-29. Doesn't include computers but does cover a lot of other things.

Link takes you to a HP with a 3300 Sempron, 512MB, 60GB HD and 15.4" screen for same price... I added it to my cart and it say Toshiba in the cart but show this:
Hewlett-Packard Pavilion Notebook with Mobile AMD Sempron? Processor 3300+
Model: A105-S2091

Don't postpone your work when you're away from your home or office. This Pavilion notebook's built-in wireless LAN lets you stay connected and enjoy Internet access without wires in your home, at the office or at hotspots.

* Mobile AMD Sempron? processor 3300+* with AMD PowerNow!? technology and up to 1600MHz system bus
* 512MB PC2700 DDR DIMM for multitasking power, expandable to 2GB
* DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive

thanks OP, got one
got there around 10:05, there was a line already, i think they had about 15-20 of these
by the time i got mine, there were 3 left and about 9-10 people behind me.

came out to 478 after tax and another 256 meg stick. i would have just bought memory from newegg but this will be used by my wife for school so 512 megs was plenty.

Our BB only had 10 $399 laptops in stock and they sold out before the doors even opened.
