Wow, that looks like a good deal. My sister needs a beater laptop for her kids and i was looking at used lappy's in this price range. Might as well get a brand new one for this price!

I can't see anything fundamentally wrong with it. How is the battery life?
 
I my get this if Microcenetr no longer has the 299 notebook. I think I'd rather get this though because my parents would like a 15.4 rather than a 14.1.
 
I hate these companies that advertise these deals and then won't sell it to you because your supposedly in the "wrong area". Hey, guess what USPS, UPS, DHS, and Fed Ex deliver to the whole country. :roll::|:cookie:
 
Yeah, that is pretty lame. Show as not available in my area and I tried several zip codes. This is great deal if you can get it.

I hope it works for you, I hear many are getting their orders cancelled.

Personally, because of scams like this I won't buy anything from CompUSA and I'm now adding OfficeDepot to the "DNT" list.

I am having the same problem.

NJ, TN, LA, PA, NY... not available.

What kind of crap is that??? What do they think that ppl are gonna go there to see the deal, find they are barred from getting it and decide to shop there for other stuff?

Seriously, what is their reasoning behind this?
 
My dad managed to pick one up in the Pittsburgh area for my sister. He searched around and got one that the employees had been holding for someone else. Looks like this deal was few and far between.
