The news is everywhere on the web. I am guessing most Wal-Marts will be lucky to have 1 or 2.
Its gonna be a mad house.

There were stacks of them when they first showed up in store last week. I'm sure there will be stacks of them again. Wal-Mart isn't known for understocking like Circuit City.

Microsoft supports HD over BR. Their profits last quarter were more than Sony's entire market capitolaztion!!
Apparently fanboi frenzy has spun you into a state of delirium.

Sony Market Capitalization: $49.25 Billion

Microsoft Quarterly Profit: $4.29 Billion

OMG. You actually looked that up? Like you read his post and were all "NU UH!! NU UH!! Sony, here I come to defend you in return for the countless magical nights I've spent with your PS3 beside the fire light. Oh sweet PS3, my future-proof entertainment device, let me go grab my copy of Ghost Rider and let's spend some quality time enjoying Nicholas Cage in 1080P. Just let me straighten out these defilers on the Intarweb first. Google UP!"

I called my local WM, they had 20 of the Toshibas, 0 TV's 🙁

Will they sell before 8am?

Evidently my store won't with 0 in stock.

Lots of folk are doing a purchase now with a return buy tomorrow morning.

I've had the toshiba for nearly a year and I'm not that happy with it. I first got the rca first gen hd player and the picture was amazing. But everyone pushed this toshiba, so like a idiot I listened and exchanged the rca for the toshiba. The toshiba is not as near the clear mirror like quality of the original rca release. The rca box was a lot bigger, but the quality was true eye candy. This toshiba A2 is like DVD plus. If you think the toshiba is good HD quality, you dont know HD or what it can really look like. I miss my RCA soooooo much...

So my television is 720p and no higher. Will I notice a difference between HD-DVD and DVD-upconversion?

Think I'm going to get one of these tomorrow (early AM).

720p is still 3x the resolution of dvd. so yea assuming your tv isn't a total turd

Believe it or not, I actually knew off the top of my head that Microsoft didn't make $50+ billion in net profits last quarter. I just like including links so people don't have to take my word for it.

Leave the financial talk for the adults, okay kiddo?

You do know that the RCA is just a rebadged Toshiba right? Something is wrong with your A2. Are you sure you have the settings right?

LOLMAX at thinking an RCA HT product could be ANY better than, well, anything, 'course your RCA HD-DVD player was just an HD-A1. Something's wrong with your HD-A2...

A guy at AVS forums said his store is going to hand out tickets at 7am, kinda funny they are acting like a DVD player is brand new and being sold for the very 1st time. They are allowing people to line up at midnight lol.

When my parents' TV stops working due to digital switchover, I'll convince them to upgrade 😉
