Lucky yours shipped already. Mine is scheduled for the last week of august. That sucks. When I ordered it said ready to ship within 24 hours.

I sent them mail over the weekend and even though they said I would get a reply in 24 hours, I have not heard anything.

If anyone does have the cust. service number please post it. Thanks.

Good news, I got the confirmation that a copy of the UPC will be taken by Amazon. File this in case you run into issues in the future.

In researching this matter, I have found that a copy of the UPC code
for the Toshiba e310 Pocket PC will be accepted for the Amazon.com
rebate so that you may take advantage of both of the rebate offers.

Please note that the manufacturer's rebate will still require the use
of an original UPC barcode from the products packaging.

I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for shopping at

can't you just include the invoice that came from amazon.com after you placed the order with the rebate form? Amazon.com only includes a packing slip with the box which can not be used with a rebate.

Here's the response I got from Amazon:

... this is a general promotion good on all PDA's sold on our site. There are other models
that do cost more the $400.00 and therefore would receive the $50.00
promotional certificate towards a future purchase. However, at the
time this promotion was listed on the Toshiba e310 Pocket PC it was
not clear so we will be providing you with a $50.00 promotional
certificate. Your promotional certificate will be e-mailed to you 2
to 3 weeks after you have received your handheld.

Finally, to your second e-mail to us regarding the rebates, there
were two rebates listed on this product. Both were manufacturer's
rebates but one was for customers of Amazon.com only. Since you
could not redeem both coupons, because you would need an original UPC
for each rebate, we have had to remove one of those rebates from this
item. I am sorry if this causes any disappointment.

So the deal for me is: $299.94 after rebate + $50 promo gift certificate Plus 32 MB Secure Digital card - still not bad, but not what I expected.

I got this from amazon... so it looks like we CAN use both rebates:

Saw this for $299.97 less $50 MIR so $249.97 @ my local BB today at noon. Not bad--may have to send my iPaq to fleabay.

Could you drop by and pick up a tag for the Toshiba e310? A potentially hot hot deal (and my first one!), as Staples CSRs have been sent notes informing them not to PM any websites anymore, but B&M's are still working, and a Best Buy tag would be easiest...they're reported to having the PDA at $299.97.

399 --> $289 (110% Staples PM) - $40 coupon - $50 MIR = $199, and even better if you can get the free 32 meg SD card.

Seems Amazon messed up with the promotion certificate. Pda has already been shipped and my credit card been charged $314.95. So could I just cancel the SD card and get the pda for 314.95?

I just got the Krussel and its a great case. Fits the e310 like a glove. Nice and small so you can still fit it in your pocket. I would definitly recomment that case.

Yes, I was very much annoyed to find that amazon had only sent me a $25 gift certificate. I remember distinctly that the product page advertised a "FREE $50 GIFT CERTIFICATE BY E-MAIL" and we should definitely complain. Somehow, I think I knew this was going to happen...but ah, well, at least amazon is a thousand times better than most internet retailers when it comes to dealing with problems like these.

Amazon just sent an apology letter stating that they had accidentally sent the $25 GC instead of $50, and corrected the mistake!!!! Check your mail!! :)
