TOSHIBA CPU?

GOOD MORNING ALL, I JUST PURCHASED A 2800 SAT FROM TOSHIBA,650 CELERON, QUESTION,
ON SYS INFO IT SAYS PROCESSOR "Genuine Pentium lll Processor(r), 650Mhz", the processor in this thing has stepping capabilities, is this a celeron or Pent?

I doubt that Toshiba advertises a machine as having a Celeron II, but gives you a box with a PIIIE instead. Sandra 2001, WCPUID, Wintune 98 and the Belarc Advisor should tell you the story. Sometimes CII's are ID'd as PIIIE's with a 128 kb L2 cache.

Ya these things can happen. Windows 98 identifies a k6-2+ as a k6-3. It's no big deal.

There's actually a Celeron 2? How is it different than a Celeron?
