Toshiba Colorstream...worth it?

I just recently purchased a new Toshiba 27" tv which has Colorstream component video inputs and was wondering if it's worth buying a Toshiba DVD player with Colorstream output. I was planning on just running off the DVD play on my computer, but would like to know if anyone else has tried this colorstream and if its worth using the Toshiba DVD player with it. How much better is the quality? Is it noticable? Is it worth it? Thanks for your info.

AFIK "Colorstream" is just Toshibas name for Component

PS2 looks much better on my Toshiba TV using the Component cable (less jaggies, and dot crawl)

I have a Panasonic RV31S connected via component video to a 27" Wega, & I love it. The jump in picture quality from s-video to component isn't huge, but it's noticeable.

I have 55" Toshiba RPTV and Toshiba DVD so I've always used component, so I can't compare to s-video or regular coaxial connection. Component looks GREAT to me.

On a 27', you probably wouldn't notice too much of a difference. According to Sound and Vision mag, using the component inputs will bypass the color decoder in your TV (and the comb filter as well, which s-video does as well), so you might see some improvements there. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
