Anyone else having issues with this bios revision? It randomly (completely) and suddenly powers off my notebook at random times. Rolling back to 4.00 fixes the issue completely, I have a P105 S921 by the way, just wanted to see if this is a glitch that is happening to more people than just me.

I have the same problem except I don't know how to restore to the old bios? Any help please or if anyone knows where to download the 4.00 bios would be nice thanks :)

Can't speak for your particular situation, but...

I own a Toshiba A215 and have flashed the BIOS, like, 4 times since March, as Toshiba comes out with new updates. Presently, I'm at ver. 1.80

Anyway, on the official Toshiba web site, they have ver. 1.10 - 1.80 available for download. Is this NOT the case for you, Sakujou - being able to download older versions?

@ Schadenfroh - I don't know exactly what to suggest, bro, except to wait for ver 4.30 to come out. Nobody's perfect, you know - not even Toshiba? ;)

And the shutting down problem seems to be fixed but my wireless is screwed over now it disconnects and reconnects like every 5 seconds :|

OMG!!! An 11 lb. lappy?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I see BIOS downloads, for the P105 S921, going all the way back to...

ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.70 for Satellite P100 (v1.70; 03-17-2006; 4.41M)

You're obviously looking in the wrong place!

Well I think I may have figured out the problem, either the new BIOS gives the incorrect CPU usage(because it seems to only shut down while playing games/virus scanning so CPU intensive stuff)...o_O Unsure still...

Yeah... I hate flashing the BIOS!

I've flashed my Toshiba like 4 times since summer...

The ol' rule of thumb was, if you don't have problems, don't flash your BIOS, but some of these bugs are pretty scary!

For instance, the last time I flashed it, they said there was a bug that flagged your CMOS as having a password set, even if you didn't have one set - and there was nothing you could do to start your lappy, except send it back to Toshiba and have them fix it for you - so, I flashed it again...

Anyway, any time you flash a BIOS, you stand the risk of causing more problems than it fixes! ;)
