Could somebody tell me if this would be okay for playing Quake 3?

I saw this in Sam's Club and was extremely impresses with the clarity and color. But I am unfamiliar with LCD technologies. I have done a bit of reading about TN's vs IPS vs VA, but I am still left in the dark how to determine when I am viewing one or the other (like this one at Sam's Club). Additionally, aside from response times and contrast ratio specs, I really do not know what are the key specifications to look for. The fact that this is advertised as an HD LCD TV rather than a PC monitor tells me that I must seriously be missing something to be considering it for Quake 3 (yes some of us still play this; also i'll be getting Crysis soon).
