Torture? Hardly . . .

Federal prosecutors in New York have even been known to remind suspects that they are more likely to keep their teeth and not end up as sex slaves by pleading to a federal offense, thus avoiding New York City?s Rikers Island jail. Using such a method against an al-Qaida jihadist, by contrast, would be branded a serious humanitarian breach.

 poor article

This article is trying to combat the Abu Ghraib scandal with random anecdotes that are never even substantiated, so for all we know he just made up every story of "interrogators being too kind".

He does a clever job of bringing up the Abu Ghraib scandal several times but never really disputes what happened there, instead he quickly glosses over it with a seemingly fabricated anecdote of how interrogators are too kind to the inhuman terrorists, thus trying to get the reader to doubt the Abu Ghraib scandal itself, which seemed to work for our OP (juding by the carefully selected quote he chose and the way he titled this thread)

I don't think that any of our anti-Gtmo colleagues here can prove a single case in history where prisoners of war have ever been treated AS WELL as we treat our current detainees. I hope we are a model for the future. We don't even have them out in chains building new prisons or tending gardens to feed themselves.

Yeah, we just shove glowsticks up their asses, form pyramids with their naked bodies, have dogs bite them, rape them, molest young boys, beat them, and even kill them.

No poster is that dumb BUT I don't think he's a parody poster. I think he's more of a traditional troll....

Sadly, conjur, this seems to be the prevailing mindset of those who approve/condone the abuse and torture that happened over there.
