I'm eating some Trader Joe's tortellini "with pesto filling" and I looked on the back and it says 10 20 2005 so I'm wondering if that's the expiration date or just the date of manufacture. This is dry pasta in a sealed plastic bag but I can't help but wonder if there is anything wrong with eating this stuff. What is the shelf life of dry pasta?
Ingredients: Enriched Durum wheat, semolina, iron, riboflavin, Folic acid, eggs, water. Filling: Parmesan Cheese, (Milk, Salt, Rennet), Bread Crumbs (wheat flour, water), Sunflower Oil, Freeze Dried Basil, Salt, Dehydrated Garlic, Water.
I have to emphasize that this stuff was DRY when I first decided to cook it and it was in a pantry so the only light that it should have gotten was from the pantry light.
Let's have a poll as to whether or not I'll get sick.
