Tornadoes in December, in Illinois. This is crazy. Highs in the low 60s in Chicago later this week.

Rand has voted against every single disaster relief bill since 2011. Oh except this one.

Huh.
~:vi README.txt it is just that Rand only cares for himself and politics. It really is just the game of politics that is being played in the senate.

You should try using vim rather than vi ~:vi README.txt

Remember when we had our differences but we could still find common ground? Remember when everything wasn't so black and white but a nice shade of gray? Remember when finger pointing was considered childish? OMG do you remember when......

Yes sexy lady, I remember when things were like that. I wish those day could come back. Please god, please bring back those days where everyone could get along. Please end the days were retarded Trump supporters put racism into everything they do in life.

Well, if these red states refuse to respect gods earth seriously, then god gets pissed. Still, very sorry for their loss and I can't imagine losing ones home and ones belongings so near the holidays. Plus, having such a massive tornado(s) hit in the middle of the night and in total darkness must in itself be terrifying.

But back to climate change, what exactly will it take to convince these red states (and some blue as well), that something really really bad is going on here? I'm just waiting for a Summer when the temp rises to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and then just maybe someone will listen.

It's pathetic that the poster whining in this thread about the tone some posters have taken votes for the party that creates the discord he claims to be against.

Says the man who supports the party of hatred, violence, racism, locking young children up in small cages, and generally legitimizing evil as mainstream thought.

You cannot advocate cruelty and ask for common ground.

His party is against the things he claims to want. He is upset because he doesn't like how the message sounds when it's turned back at him.

Climate change?

It was pretty freaking unnerving, EMA BCS screeched out over my work cell phone at around 4am, it was thunder and lightning along with monsoon rains coming down.

The scariest part is I have a tree that leans towards end of my house and would crush the corner of my bedroom if it fell.
Just last weekend, the storms that came through knocked several large branches off at around 1am and sounded like roof was going to cave in. Fortunately we have a metal roof. Happened another 2 times before the storms passed. Needless to say I didn't sleep from 1am onwards, and had to work at 8am.

Thankfully no tornadoes in our county, but plenty of power outages, which caused internet outages. Got them all back up before 5pm. The electric company did a hell of a job too.

Can you preemptively cut down that tree? A metal roof won’t save you if it comes crashing down and it’s a big enough tree that you are concerned about it.

Honestly. Fuck Kentucky. Rand Paul voted against Sandy relief which affected my area, among other GQP senators. Until Trump, I would have always said let's help the people of Kentucky out without hesitation. No second thoughts.

However that state and area has shown us they support shitty people in both their senators and president. Politicians that are anti supporting other states when they are hutring and are overall anti democracy. Horrific unforgivable people and policies.

So eat shit Kentucky.

I am disappointed in Biden for helping these traitors out. Fuck that guy. These Neanderthals will never learn if we use kid gloves on them.

So I guess Mitch McConnell must be having a conflict with himself where he wants the fed gov't to stay out of his state's business (targeted suppressive voting laws, gerrymandering) yet will have to welcome fed disaster aid to help out his state's tragic circumstances that the tornado created there. But what the hell, he's been milking the fed's coffers for the social assistance programs that his impoverished state is reliant on yet being the true two-faced hypocrite that he is, he's excoriating the Dems for being the commie socialists that want to provide such services to his constituency all the while he's fighting to deny those services to his own people.

edit - Like Trump, McConnell's only concern is putting his own personal interests ahead of the working class people that he supposedly represents.
