Tornados coming and I can't watch the game

Tornados are headed this way and I can't watch the baseball game due to non stop weather dudes telling me I'm gonna die. I have the weather channel and radar on my PC. I will get in the bath tub on/or before the storm hits. (about an hour). Can't we just watch some baseball. End of rant.

 
We were supposed to get hammered in the NW burbs of Chicago...those storms wussed out on us. Not even a drop of rain here.

Play baseball at the collegiate or professional level and tell me everyone playing is not athletic. :roll:

Lol, thats exactly what I usually do, and in fact did at 1AM last night when the storm hit Nashville. Pretty cool really, knocked down branches everywhere, also there is a building under construction here and it blew all their construction materials all over the place and made the 15 story crane do a 360 spin nearly clipping another building. Coolest part was getting in between 2 buildings where the wind was being funneled through and being able to do the tihng where you lean forward and the wind keep you from falling over.

Yup, last night in the Boro I was sitting there watching the game and some other TV shows and they kept cutting in with the news for something happening in west TN and KY. I mean seriously, isn't a ticker at the bottom sufficient? *If you are in X county/city, cover yourself and kiss your ass goodbye... enjoy the game*

 
You would think they could pause the programming at least. Maybe that is a little different with a baseball game.

I always hated that. Watching a show then some d-bag comes on "In case you didn't notice, it sucks outside. Now I will blabber on about the science behind why it sucks and take my usually incorrect guess at when it will stop sucking".

Until the storm reaches my area; then the same exact storm suddenly goes from being the worst thing ever to being "on its way out" - mind you, we might not have as large a population as the other areas, but most of the people here are tourists; they would probably like to be kept current on the latest situation.

You don't have the ability to look out the window and decide how bad a storm is?

And besides I'm not talking about tornados. Fine, tell me when those are around. I mean when they interrupt a show for 30 minutes to go on and on about how the 40-50 mile an hour winds and a little bit of lightning are going to kill me along with the rest of my extended family.
 
Hey, at least you didn't have the tornado sirens going off every 45 minutes. We had a tornado touch down about 30 miles away but since the last tornado hit us directly a couple months ago, they're a bit trigger happy with the siren now.
