For some reason, I'm having more trouble figuring out which platform to get Mercenaries 2 for then any game in recent memory. I'm leaning toward PC, but I could go with any of the three. Which are you getting?

I loved the first game (had it for the XBox) and I'm definitely buying this one. I'm planning on buying this game for the 360. Largely due to the fact that it has co-op and all my friends that are also buying the game are buying it for the 360. And, yes, I own a 360, PS3, and gaming capable PC.

I was incredibly underwhelmed by the first one, so I may give this one a rental, if anything.

360. I don't have a PS3 or capable PC. Even if I did I would still choose 360 because of XBL, achievements, and the controller. Some of my friends will most likely be getting this game and they also have 360s.

I'm going with PC but I'd get it for the platform your friends are getting it, Co-Op sounds pretty awesome and even more so with friends (real friends not just internet friends).

Also the PC version has out of the box support for the 360 controller and it'll probably get achievements as well like many other GFW titles like say Devil May Cry 4,

I've never been big on achievements, so that part doesn't interest me much. Anyway, I've decided to go with the 360 version after learning that three of my close friends are picking it up too. Co-op should be a blast in this game.

PC FTW - these kinds of games are always easier to control and perform better on PC

Co-op should be a blast, have fun

All of which are features on the PC version as well. But you don't have a capable PC, so no point in discussing further

So who's playing Mercs 2?

I picked it up yesterday, played for several hours last night. It's fun so far, though I don't find myself using air strikes and the like nearly as much as I did in the first one. I'm not sure if it's lack of opportunity or if I'm just being stingy but I find myself running in guns blazing, have an RPG to take out tanks, C4 to take down buildings, and when I'm out of those, I grab a tank and lay waste.

The other thing I've noticed is that this is probably going to be a much shorter game than the first. I haven't really played all that much but it already says I'm 50% complete. I haven't even met a couple of the factions yet, but I'm halfway through the game? Hopefully they just don't measure percentages very well. It seemed like I was barely past the tutorial and was at 20%.

Overall it's fun though; a worthy sequel.

I never played the previous game, but the commercials I've seen on TV have me really intrigued. Probably the best video game ad I've seen other than the Gears of War ad.

It took a little while to get into it, but I'm having a blast. I don't think I've done too many of the main missions, as I easily get sidetracked trying to capture HVTs and take out targetted buildings. I guess I haven't looked to see what my % complete is...

Capturing helicopters using a grappling hook is bad ass. :)

Heh (YouTube of commercial) - I don't know if this will be a good game or not but the commercial is very memorable and catchy.

edit: Full Song full of more catchiness and hilarity.

Haha, that full song is funny. Thanks Queasy!
That is definitely one of my favorite game ads ever.
