Eh I have to disagree with a lot of people. I was in this situation and I decided to go for the intel. I don't honestly know if you'll notice that much of a difference, but keep in mind that these AMDs are known to not perform as good as intel in anything other than games pretty much. The intel is still hella powerful and can keep up fine with the AMD. Plus I got my intel when I bought it 2 months ago for $256 🙂 new...AND retail.
 
For gaming, AMD. I'd also agree with GeneralGrievous...For gaming to go with an OC'd XP and spend the savings on more powerfull video card. Let us know what you do.
