Torchlight $10 on steam ***NOW $5***BACK TO $10***

Buya! In for Torchlight.

Was going to wait for it to come up in the 24 deals in 24 days at D2D, but I doubt they will beat that price.

The developers have said time and time again that Torchlight won't get multiplayer, and that there will be a separate game for multiplayer. This was largely to judge interest, ensure they have the mechanics of the game down etc... and not a full fledged game (which is why it never cost a full $50 for the game).

This is of course talking 'official' multiplayer. Who knows what can be modded
 
though i thought $20 was a great deal for this awesome game, at $10 its a no-brainer. if you love diablo/hack-and-slash games, this is the game for you. matt uelman, the composer from diablo 1/2 scores torchlight and you can definitely tell that this is his music.

what kills it is the lack of multiplayer, but i got over it quickly 🙂
 
Thanks for posting this! I knew that it was one of the specials for direct2drive that was coming up before the month ends based on the 24 days of Christmas sale. Steam beat them to the punch.

It would be quite unfortunate if they were using a single player game to judge multiplayer interest...There is some crossover, however, I know at least 10 people who would have bought the game if it had multi. They aren't buying it now. They aren't bitching and insulting the company. They just like what they like.
 
They are, at this point, telling you to steal this game!

10 dollars for a game this good!

You'd be a fool if didn't get it now...
 
Just picked it up. We will see if my $10 was well spent, Usually you guys get this stuff right so I have trusted you on this one.
