Anyone else get annoyed with an e-mail that is sent out everytime someone responds? Especially in the OT forum. Check my e-mail this morning to find 234 e-mails waiting for me.

I'm probably going to be banned for saying this, but other forum software handles this much more intelligently; only one email per thread is sent out, and you get no more until you return to the forums to check the threads - only then is the counter reset. This feature has been requested many times in the past, but you draw your own conclusions about why it hasn't happened yet.

I don't think you'll get banned....just severely punished. I do think it should be done though.

Well, that would be a nice option for some threads. Other threads, I actually want to see the responses. I'd love each email to include an unsubscribe link (so when you subscribe to that OT thread you think will get 2 responses and 200 start rolling in, you can opt out remotely)

Fusetalk has had digest mode for years it just isnt on here, when time permits i'll look at flipping the switch.

It used to be a pain to get 10-15 msgs regarding posting in the tax thread.
Luckly the volume has dropped of (until April)

That's why I:

1. Don't subscribe to topic in OT or P&N.
2. Don't have subscription stuff emailed to me.

Not yet, the digest functionality isn't going to do what you require. It is designed to send out new content per category not a sumation of your subscriptions. I'll throw the idea on the list of enhancements though.
