Now that Bush is the president elect, here's his top ten list of things to do :)

10) Hook up nuclear launch button to The Clapper.

9) Authorize new presidential anthem: "Hail to the Chad."

8) Send message to Wheaties people: "Hey guys, how about it? My face, your box."

7) Order copy of "Presidents for Dummies."

6) Keep distance from Cheney...don't want to catch heart disease.

5) Start mending fences with Democrats...appoint Gore "Secretary of Losers."

4) Avoid smoking any cigars left behind by Clinton. :Q

3) Deliver memorable speech at inauguration: "I have a dream...then I wake up."

2) As soon as possible, have transitional team meet with Martin Sheen.

1) Now that all the bickering is over, gracefully bow out of race.

Does Bush really deserve this reputation?

Sure he comes across as a bit of a dimwit on telly, but then most average people do. Its probably those who come off looking good on TV that you have to worry about, the real fakes & con men.

So in reality, is he as much of a dimwit as he appears?

What is truly funny is how SNL does bush and gore.

Gore is the dull politcian, Bush is just plain stupid. And this is how SNL do them two and they will continue to do Bush like this for the next four years.

Bush can't possibly be as stupid as some people would claim. I think of myself as a pretty intelligent person (I'm in engineering though) and I make some of the same slip-ups he has done. If I had everything I've said recorded and used for sound bites I'd probably sound pretty stupid some times. Say all you want about grade inflation for the Ivy's but it takes at least some intelligence to get a bachelors from Yale and a Harvard MBA.

It does seem difficult to imagine that he could maintain motor functions and still be that stupid, but many functions are localized in the brain, so it possible to be that stupid and still be functional.

Bober, nope, someone forwarded it to me, I'm not that creative.

It's just some humor. I support Bush, but that doesn't mean this isn't funny :)

<<Does Bush really deserve this reputation?>>

Actually, I lived in Austin, Texas for 5 years, I've had a chance to see/hear him a LOT more than most people, and he is anything but stupid. He's actually a very intelligent guy -- he's just not a very good or polished public speaker. Kind of like someone that has a slow southern drawl -- they might seem like an idiot, when in fact that's just a perception based on the accent. One should not confuse speaking skills with analytical or conceptual skills.

.... and, as Capn mentioned, I don't care if you come from a weathy family and get a step up or not, it's NOT easy to get an MBA from Harvard, you certainly can't be stupid. Might not be a genius, but he's NOT stupid.

Not as people jokingly claim. As for the rest - you can judge that when he opens his mouth to say something that wasn't scripted (which isn't all that often :Q).
