why isnt the ford excursion on that list??

dunno...but my explorer gets 12/14 mpg and my jag gets 14/16 🙁

because it is SO BIG that it is exempt from those standards. It is considered a LEV because it is in the same ratings as tow trucks and other medium duty vehicles

The excursion gets 9-10 MPG, if you are not beating on it or towing something large. But Ford it getteg rid of the excursion. 2004 is the last year, with 2003 being the last FULL year it is made.

Wonder if (m)any of those SUV's, including the excursion, have a Diesel (sp?) option. I believe that'd help a bit but you'd have a harder time finding gas stations to fill up at.

My dodge Ram with a v-10 gets about 7 MPG now. (being nice to the go pedal) On the expsy I get about 12-14 @ 70mph.

All the aerodynamic properties of a brick. I am so proud of it!

OK, first off, I had an Excursion and got around 13 with it driving around town..................the do come with an optional deisel engine.....................I got hit driving the Excursion by some guy in a Mazda pickup headon (half drunk) so it was gone..............we now have a GMC Yukon Denali and it gets around 17 so the guy with the Exploder needs a fuel injector cleaning or something.................😉
