~$37 AR AGC OCZ OCZSSD2-1ONX32G Onyx 32GB, 2.5", SATA II. 1.99 shipping and $5 off with Google Checkout at Tigerdirect. Slow and small, but cheap. From a post at FW. Edit: GC said to kill cheap shipping, but the Discover card site is giving a 5% discount.

Phoenix Pro.

I don't want to deal with the rebate. The drives performance are about the same on them, so it's just easier to do Phoenix Pro.

Also, keep in mind that Newegg has 60 day price matching on the Phoenix (maybe the Vertex does as well), so if you buy it now and it drops cheaper Newegg will send you back the difference.

Alright, you've sold me.

Looks G.SKILL is taking all my money this Black Friday. In for that 8GB RAM for my Alienware M11x, plus the Phoenix Pro 120GB for the M11x replacement HDD.

I'm tempted to do the same for my M17xR2 but can't overcome the want vs need...sigh.

😛

Jumped on that one. Already applied for rebate. Just waiting to get barcode from item when in hand. Can't beat the free shipping also.

Uses 2nd gen MLC nand. Not the fastest in sequential R/W's but has very good random R/W's. Hard to go wrong with Intel. Going to be replacing a OCZ 60gb Vertex I got a month or so ago also from NewEgg for $95, free shipping and have had no problems.

Installed in a Vostro 1700 with a second WD Scorpion 320 gb data drive. Upgraded CPU to a T9300. Not much else I can do to upgrade this baby.

Yeah that one I liked too. I decided on the Phoenix drive personally.
