LAN parties=random losers you don't know. (never been to one tho)

Not necessarily. Just get all of your closest family and a couple of your best friends and you have enough players right there.

True...but not nearly enough of my non-nerd friends have a labby that can play elite games

I agree lanning w/4-5 buds is fun

why do ya need a laptop? Bring the box over..

And if hardly consider ut2004 an "elite" game...its almost 2 years old

lol. well, I think there are pr0n titles for the ps2 heh.

anyways, ya that's obviously flamebait. There are obvious pro's and con's to both. A ton of people here have both pc and consoles.

Dare I ask....who gives a crap? >.>

Besides, while I prefer keyboard + mouse I can't see a fighting game being played with them.

Funny.

I play consoles by a factor of 50 to 1 hour computer.

They're just that much fun. PC games - not so much.

Or you could do something drastic. Like, you know... having both and appreciating both?

There are aspects of both consoles and PCs that I have them for. Simple as that. To proclaim one being better than the other, in general, is lame.

Heh, console ==> chill on the couch while you play. Nobody mentioned this yet. PC and console are both good, who cares what trollboy, err, the OP has to say? :)

Can't you get Mario of Zelda on a PC (and I don't mean emulation that requires 10x the processing power of the original console)

PC's strong points are FPS and RTS.

I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog and Factor 5 do with PS3. They'll push it to it's limit.

LOL, it isn't enough that you people get so emotional over processor brands, and video card brands? Now you have to start a thread defining what is a better way to waste your time? How about we just look at the numbers of both selling, and accept them for what they are. As pointed out above, gameplay is going to make me like a game, not nescessarily graphics. I have played some games on consoles that were as dull as solitaire, on the other hand I have played some console exclusive games that had tremendous replay value. (Goldeneye 007, and PErfect dark come to mind) That being said, if people would stop fawning over graphics so much, maybe game developers would actually make a game that has replay value, instead of shoveling this crap that relies on playing on the internet for a story/replay value.

Too bad PC = sh!t for co-op. Perfect Dark Zero, Halo 3, Gears of War. Good luck getting co-op support for these games on PC, and I doubt half of them will even be ported. With an Xbox 360 you get guaranteed 4xAA and guaranteed framerates out of the box for every game you'll pick up, something the PC will never be able to do regardless of how powerful they become. Console market = 10x the size of PC = more developers = more games. We get what, 5 good games a year on the PC? And they all get released in one quarter, it's just not worth the cash some people are shelling out for SLI widescreen LCD rigs. I'm gonna get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of a $300-400 console than I will from a PC that costs 2X+ as much.
