From what I have read, her supporters are so xenophobic that this is not going to negatively affect her electability.

Nah, spidey bet on the "I slept around in college when I wasn't hanging around with extreme goth/witchcraft losers then made an attention-whore career telling others not to diddle themselves and now I'm running for the US Senate primarily because I need the money . . . to pay my rent" one.

I don't really consider it a bet. To me, it's the tuition cost for him to take my short course in stupidity self-awareness. I'll be offering follow-up courses as the opportunity arises, because I care.

Probably. This has repeatedly played out and is clear evidence that at heart, the Republican Party establishment is much more close to the Democrat Party than to the values they profess during elections. If the Tea Party folks can't take over the Pubbies, then the GOP should die. We don't need two parties that hold the same beliefs and agenda, and the Dems are more honest about it.

Maybe then we'll get a new party that says economic freedom AND social freedom.

Thing is what you want doesn't exist.... and.... it doesn't matter how you may try to re-brand it... these.... "tea-baggers" will become part of the system that you and others like minded shall decry...

People who support GOP and Tea Party don't want those things.

They want America for Christian heterosexuals and big government for free, ie not pay anything for it but give them good roads, nuclear subs, and safe peanut butter.
