You're a lying judgmental hypocrite if you say you would never crack the throttle when nobody was watching. Your response to this post is irrelevant. You WOULD do it. End of discussion. /thread

Thread is about Top Gear.

It was, you wasted time and posts to establish if I would speed in a Aston Virage in a world without tracks.

And this post accomplished what exactly? Other than sucking me back into this ridiculous thread? It really is annoying trying to converse with you. I'm done responding to your foolishness. Congrats, I'm really considering blocking you...and you'd be the first one in the 8 years I've been posting here.

Just wanted to get the last word perhaps? Well, you've got it because it is practically a certainty that you will reply...not that I give a shit mind you.

Most German cars are, but the 335i with sport package is limited to 150mph, although I'm starting to think my Speedo runs a bit high. Once my mount for my 9500i comes in I will make another run and see what the GPS says.

That's bizzare, I wonder why they knocked off 5 mph...?

That's weird - I thought all BMWs with Z-rated tires came with a 250 kph/155 mph limiter.

As to your observation, BMW speedos are notoriously a little optimistic.

I'm reading conflicting stuff on it, 150mph and 155mph are both listed, while the non sport package cars are 140 or something like that. All I know is that at 150mph my boost starts bouncing up and down and the car won't accellerate anymore.

I quite enjoyed the new episode. The Virage review was a bit dry, but the bit at the end where Jeremy kept agreeing with James made up for it.

The road trip challenge with the small cars was great. Their challenges are always entertaining. The lap around Monaco was awesome, there was some really nice camera work there showcasing how tight the track is, and I particularly liked the bumper cams coming out of the tunnel.

I also liked how the "star in a reasonably priced car" pointed out how all the attractive women are prodded to the front of the crowd. I notice that in every episode.

Edit: Of the 3 small cars I would choose the Fiat for sure. Clio seemed bland and slow, DS Racing was just gawdy, the Fiat looks fun a quirky.

They were called on that a couple of years back. Actually, I think they brought it up.

I didn't really like this episode. It was on the corny and contrived side, just overall weak. The biggest problem is Hammond seemed fairly uninterested most of the time, and May did some as well, only he yo-yo'ed between that and Clarkson type of overacting so it was even more apparent. I know his car didn't probably help (can't think of a car that was less interesting than it on the show, ever).

With the Monaco bit, I could only think that it was sad that they setup something so awesome (especially for Jeremy) with these cars. I would have loved to see them run it on go karts. Maybe get some retired F1 drivers and the Stig in as well.
