Must be for the styling... Performance wise it is a step above a 335i according to reviewers...

Well the S5 comes very close to the numbers put down by the RS4(4.7 vs 4.9 0-60 for example) and is cheaper and better looking IMHO.

I'd take the Mercedes.

It easily bests the other two in straight line performance and is the most practical(interior space) and luxurious .

Who's gonna be taking their M3 to the track every weekend?

No kidding, we all know that all roads are completely straight and we do nothing but sit around drag racing AMG and RS4s all day long.

Not to mention that the Mercedes handles the worst of the three and in daily driving it never rains. I mean, it's all about drag racing!

M3 hands down. M3 was the first and is still the king. Everyone is just trying to copy the M3.

The RS4 bests the M3 in the categories you mentioned. It is more comfortable to daily drive and much more usable in day to day driving thanks to AWD.

Who says the copy has to be worse than the original?

Sorry but I don't go around throwing my car around corners and hitting apexes on public roads.

Rain?? LOL, you're actually going to try to push these cars to the limit in the rain? Have fun Shumi... Don't driving like an idiot in the rain and you'll be fine.

Be realistic, in daily driving, staightline performance is where its at. Combine that with the Mercedes practicality and i'm set. But if your the type that goes to the track every weekend, all the power to you.

Edit: Also, shouldn't we wait for the 4 door M3 to make a true comparison, surely the 4 door version will add extra weight.
