I now officially  Top Gear. I'm on my third straight week of watching it. I just hope everyone keeps posting up new captures... BTW, the DB9 is the greatest car ever made.

I'm always really skeptical of those celebrity hypnotists. It feels like schtick to me. The show is great, but I ended up fast-forwarding through the end of the hypnosis part.
I think what I like best about the English car mags and shows is that they call a spade a spade. VERY seldom will you see a truly negative review of a car in a US magazine (though I think this is at least partially a function of the fact that they don't generally review boring family cars, and GM tends to be wary of sending out cars for review - I know for years they would not send any cars to Car Talk because Tom and Ray had been too negative too many times).

you really HAVE to watch it, no way in hell that guy could have played it And watch him driving in that car and how furious he gets when Jeremy hits that pedal car

The part with the pedal car was what I couldn't make it through.
I once went to a stage show by a hypnotist when I was in college. It's an interesting feeling, and I felt as though I was starting into a trance but never quite made it. On some level I think I was hypnotized enough that I wanted to, and was able to, fake it and play along. I ran into another guy on campus who had also been onstage and said the same thing (that is, that he was faking it). I think hypnotism is definitely real, and I know people have varying levels of susceptibility to hypnotism, but I didn't really buy that Richard thought that pedal car was his 911. Maybe I'm just a killjoy at heart! The show is great in any case.

mmmm... carrera GT next week.
i think that's very true. I'm a paranoid mother fvcker and well known to my friends for being a control freak. I didn't even touch alcohol for the longest time and even today I've never gotten sh!tty drunk. I volunteered to get hypnotized during our high school grad night, along with a bunch of other kids. 75% of them fell into the trance, but I didn't. Some part of me wanted to, but the other part said no fvcking way.Originally posted by: ndee

one hypnotist said, that if you really ARE against it, no hypnotiser can hypnotise you but if you really relax and just let it happen, it actually does work. Do you think that Richard is such a good artist? He NEVER laughed or in the car, when he couldn't start it, hilarious and yes, it really is a great show
