The guys in this show are opinionated fanbois (as most car guys are), you have to apply a damper to everything they say.

Damn, you sure skooled me on that Corvette thing. Man, what if they made a Z06 version of the C6, and it had a 7 liter engine, producing 500hp. That would be crazy, huh?
And if you watched the Top Gear episode in question, you'd know that the Viper engine was derived from a big block truck engine that was readily available for the strapped-for-cash Dodge engineers.
Yeah, that would be crazy if they made a 'vette like that. Get back to me in 2006 and we'll continue this discussion.
Yes, the engine was based off a big-block truck engine, but Lamborghini engineers did play a part in the production (final design was in Italy, for chrissake). "Strapped-for-cash" is a bit of an misnomer when talking about one of the most powerful engines in existence. The guys in this show are opinionated fanbois (as most car guys are), you have to apply a damper to everything they say.

The 7.0 liter engine has already been made. It's being used in several different race cars. No need to wait until 2006.
Sorry, but Ferrari's 6.0 liter engine makes 650hp. That pretty much blows anything America has out of the water.

Stupid British.

Exactly. Let's not forget that Lamborhinis are made by Volkswagen.... I recently found out that the new Audi RS6 is getting the Gallardo engine. I think it sullies the supercar, but what do I know.
