Bones Jones Poll is fail.

He might make the top 5 in the heavyweight division. If he thought he could win the heavyweight championship do you not think he would have moved up by now?

rickson would have been the best. he would have chocked out the rest of the list and rickson could take a punch.

This, with the caveat he has to beat DC before I sign off on it.

And given that between Fedor and Cain they have beaten everyone else worth mentioning, they should be the only two listed in that group. Rickson would be in the discussion if it was ground fighting, but for MMA not even remotely in the running.

To be fair I was going to add that you could consider the original UFC rules and unlimited fight duration in consideration for the top fighter.

I think that Noguiera and maybe Rickson would do very well under those rules in the cage.

I never consider him as possibly winning against Fedor or Cain but I put other options in there as well. I more was looking to give a lot of options.

I heartily disagree.Ever heard of Ron Tripp? And who did
rickson beat in MMA worth mentioning? And he was infamous for screwing with the rules of a match till they were to his liking.

Depending on the particular rules he might do well against most fighters and might make the top 10. He actually was a middleweight. I was going to put Sakuraba in there and should of but he got destroyed against powerful strikers.

Have any of those guys retired undefeated world karate champion? Because, Mr. Norris certainly did. He also won Karate's triple crown.

Would have been better to expand weight class instead imo.

Do you think that Noguiera could win against Fedor with all basic striking allowed (punches, elbows, knees, kicks and stomps, and headbutts to the head) and unlimited duration?

Those were mostly semi contact matches. Which led to the emergence of full contact karate and American kickboxing here in the states. Watch the old matches, and it is clear it is stop go point fighting. BTW Chuck was 0-3 verses Tonny Tulleners. :ninja:

Given how Shlemenko did against Tito not sure if the would be a good idea.
Since he just got handled way easier by a guy at his weight, what is your point? Hell Royce and Fedor beat cats much bigger than themselves.

In a poll like this, you've got to also consider what impact each fighter has had on the sport.
