If you had to make up your own who were the best software developers who would you say ? Like company wise. It doesn't matter if it is a commercial company or not.

I'd select Veeam as one of them. Their backup software is pretty straightforward to use and it works pretty well. They've done some good stuff and it's helped me out a lot so far!

Never heard of Veeam but they sound interesting. Sure there is plenty of developers none of us have ever heard of.

He writes the program basically solo and it is an amazing work of art. If someone on the forum has a question , he answers it. Want a new feature, it gets added. He doesn't release an update every 6 months with the improvements , he releases them almost every week. I can't conceive how he even has time to sleep with how much code he turns out and the time he spends talking with people. He was able to create an application solo that companies like autodesk have entire teams of 30+ people working to create. Truly unique.

Maybe he doesn't sleep. To bad not all software developers can be like that. Living in a dream world if I ever think that will happen.

Looks like a interesting site but the software not my cup of tea. Still interesting to look at just not for me to actually use.

This is probably the best vote so far. They are extremely aggressive and attempt #1 spot with each division. Bill's ego is a wonderful thing and they such a vast suite of software it's hard to say anyone is more impressive?

Google has shocked me in some ways but they are a bit too new to be stealing crowns from a company as old and big as Microsoft.
