because top chef has real chefs where as HC has scrubs with titles like "executive buffet chef" HC was interesting the first two seasons now its just way to ghetto for me.

They did say that among the two losing groups, there was one person who was responsible for the dish being bad. Ashley messed up the prawns, and the other guy (forget his name, one of the brothers) had pretty much come up with the whole other dish. So Ash was never in the running for being eliminated that time, from what I understood.

Eli fked that gnocchi - I get tired of his pissant whining, and I hope he gets the boot. I think Ash isn't going to go much further. Robin is an underdog, and I like that, but to be real, I just don't see it happening. Mike is pretty much a jerk and he's very hit or miss - he'll likely go the same route as Ashley - kicked off when he has an off day. The Voltaggio brothers I'm starting to have mixed feelings about, but w/e - they'll go far. Kevin has been the most consistent. Jennifer isn't far behind. The other chick - what's her name? - will probably end up being some sort of sleeper.

Who knows - I'm ready for them to stop doing all the team stuff, though.

yea tyler can suck a lemon. that was bullshit of him to come down on him like that. when he cooks in extreme conditions its not a competition and he has more product to do a redo if something goes wrong like the power going out.

yeah i hate when the judges say crap like that... if it were a real life scenario, the chef could change equipment and cook a different piece of meat. part of the competition is to deal with that kind of problem and adapt, and it could have happened to any of the chefs so its fair if they dont accept it as an excuse in the competition, but dont make comparisons to real life.

i kinda like that robin has stuck around so long, if only to irritate mike i. who is a grade a asshole.

lol @ ash ass kissing the voltaggio brother. ash didnt do anything that challenge, so hard to send him home, but going to be hard to keep him also with that attitude.

laurine is definitely a wildcard at this point. producers havent spent a lot of time on her. she isn't lauded constantly like the top 4 are (mike v., brian, jennifer, kevin), but who knows... i didnt expect carla to go anywhere last season either. i wanted to like eli, but hes kind of a dick.

I think you need to consider that the chiefs on Hell's Kitchen are there to win a job at one of Ramsey's restaurants.

The ones on Top Chief seem to have their own restarants (mostly) so there's no reason for them to be on a show like Ramsey's.

I.e., if you're a hot chief you've already got a great job and aren't interested in Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen.

I think you need to consider that the chiefs on Hell's Kitchen are there to win a job at one of Ramsey's restaurants.

based on the preview it looks like Bryan is the executive chef and Robin and his brother are on his team. tough to see Bryan going home, but the executive chef always gets the ax on restaurant wars, and some of the better chefs have gone home on restaurant wars (Tre in season 3 comes to mind).
