I love this show and this season is pretty good. who do you think is going to win Top Chef?

I hate Dale, he whines and cries all the time but the guy does have skill so i bet he is the one who wins.

Stephanie wins Top Chef.

This season really has no likeable personalities, IMO. I want the crazy redbearded guy to win, just because he's crazy.

probably richard or antonia (sp?).

i've heard richard is a bit of a ringer since he's a very accomplished chef already (owns several restaurants). antonia has won a few quickfires and isn't in the bottom too often.

only started watching this season since it's in chicago.

I'm starting to get a bit annoyed with how the judges play favorites. They kick most people off if they have one bad service, whereas when Richard or Dale are awful, they basically keep them on the strength of their past performances.

How Spike is still on this season is beyond me. I agree that Nikki wasn't that strong and had to go, but she was definitely not the worst on her team last night. Dale can't go soon enough.

Richard is clearly the best right now, and I'm glad he doesn't have the same personality as Hung from last year, I just couldn't root for that guy. Other than that, I'm pulling for either Antonia or Andrew, because I like them the best.

Is there really any question who's going to win it?...with so little sleep, Richard still kicking @ss and is chipper with his clients at the wedding. Impressive once again. Seriously, he reminds me of Harold in season 1, who kicked @ss, was very respected, didn't get in other people's faces, took risks but stayed within himself, and impressed the judges with a solid repetoire of excellent dishes. Harold was more of a natural leader tho.

Next to Richard, his main challenger is Stephanie, who has won numerous challenges as well. She started strong out of the gates, altho has shown a few cracks lately.

Spike will be around for a while. He's sort of the humorous d!ck with a strong personality that is good for ratings, but gets cut before the finals. I don't think he has the repetoire to go all the way tho. A dark horse would be Antonia, who's solid and gaining momentum imo.

Great show! (not to mention Padma's cleavage last night.:p)

Padma appears to be pregnant. I wonder if that was the cause of her split w/ Salman Rushdie?

I think Rich and Dale are going to go to the finals.

While Dale is kind of a whiny bitch, he has a lot of talent.

I think Stephanie will be in the close runnings too, but I have a feeling Dale is going to beat her out.

I think Rich is going to win it all. That guy has a ton of talent.

I want Dale to win; my respect for Richard has gone up ALOT since the season started

I called Nikki to get the boot yesterday.

Spike needs to be the next to go IMHO.

I'm glad Top Chef makes up for the complete lack of talent on Hell's Kitchen. But Gordon Ramsey is my hero so I deal with it lol.

oh yes and Padma is so fucking hot!

on a side note ... i watched s1 and s2 somehwat recently. the host on s1 was pretty bad, she sounded like an airhead reading whenever she talked. is that the reason she left top chef and padma came on starting in season 2?

That was a year ago iirc, so unless she's an african elephant with a 22 month gestation period, its not likely that was the case.

last night the butternut squash with sage Tortellini... WTF was she thinking? GROSS!!!

i would say the one thing the chefs do that totally piss me off is to take a CLASSSIC dish and totally fuck it up by making their own "artistic" changes to it.....

I don't know how it went down, but I agree, the first host completely sucked. If it wasn't scripted, she couldn't do it, and even when it was scripted she sucked. The sure found a gem of a person to replace her with.

Richard is a class above the others. The guy has worked under Boulud, Adria, and Keller and has ran many praised restaurants in the past. In addition, he has been on Iron Chef America already.

Hes doing Top Chef more for the publicity than the 100k IMO.

Richard and Dale are the best. I expect them in the top 2. Richard is too cocky I think, although he doesn't really show it, but you can kind of just tell. He likes to give people a lot of "tips". Dale has a temper but he has a lot of skill. He kind of reminds me of Hung last year, who wasn't a team player and was annoying but was fantastic in the kitchen. So I expect one of those 2 to win

Does anyone know if they are going to do a live finale or anything where they say who won? is there a way to get tickets? I'm only about 20 mins from the Top Chef HQ area and would love to see.

wow no updates from last nights show? I was glad to see Andrew get the boot. the guy is a ego maniac and in my opinion not that great of a chef. but then when the chick i forget her name threw him under the bus for not using a grain in his lunch box was just wrong.
