4 and 5 are currently open for nomination by RossMAN.

I do all my shopping @ EB when I can stack a 20% off coupon with their late spring sale prices. :)

I agree with your first 3 (EB is one of my fav stores), and i'd like to nominate Old Navy as being Ferengi friendly, especially when they have their blowout sales.

One has to be careful with Old Navy however, as some of their stuff is of extremely shoddy construction.

IMHO, the acorn does not fall far from the tree.

For the unenlightened, the gap owns old navy and BR.

I remember back in HS, my lab group had a ditz.

"Oh, I will like so never buy old navy, but i love these new gap jeans!"

What's wrong with that statement? It's like saying "Oh, I will like so never buy a Saturn, but I love those new Saabs!"

I used to be a HUGE structure guy way back in high school. But once they changed to Express Men and changed the look of their clothes, I ditched it for Banana. :)

And The Limited, Inc (ticker: LTD) owns The Limited, Limited Too, Lane Bryant, Express, Total Apparel, Henri Bendel, Lerner New York, Structure, and 83% of Intimate Brands (Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works). Essentially, that means probably at least a quarter to a third of all the apparel stores in every mall in America.
And American Eagle and Abercrombie and Fitch. When my sister used to work at VS, she got crazy discounts at all limited stores during the holiday season, including one day of 30% (or maybe it was 40%) off of anything at any store.

No, thats equivalent to saying: I refuse to buy GMC but I will buy a chevy.

Your $ goes to the same place, just its marketed differently.

I love Forever 21....I shop to make myself feel better about the failures in my life, and what's better for utter dispair than a skanky peasant top?(and I mean that in the best possible way)

Seriously, Forever is good. I have a TON of GAP, but I use to work there, so I have an excuse. If I had money, I would shop at Bebe and BCBG.

Old Navy and Gap are different stores owned by the same company (Gap Inc). What's wrong with not liking one store and loving another even if they're owned by the same company? They're targeted toward different groups of consumers and if you were to ask, most people have a preference of one store over another. If she had said "I refuse to support Gap because they're tyrants and oh, BTW, my favorite store is Old Navy" there'd be something wrong with that statement.

Right. The build quality between the stores is quite different. I don't recall the exact numbers, but the trio of Gap stores (Old navy, Gap, BR) all have a percentage of error allowed in seams an what not that go down as the price goes down. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Won't set a foot inside a Gap store. A visit will kill your sperm count because of the ambient sterility.

How then do you explain GAP Kids? Apparently, Gap customers ARE reproducing.
