You're #1 worst beer is my favorite (Bud Light). I guess I need to expand my beer cycle?

Any suggestions?

I actually like Coors light and regular draft Budwieser. I personally think Sam Adams is over rated, and I'm not fond of Killians. Never really got into the seasonal brews either.

You can't go wrong ordering a Guinness, Bass, Boulevard Wheat, or Blue Moon though.

Coors works great for hot summer days or for slamming a few while playing golf. Fairly light and doesn't sit heavy. I love a big glass of Guinness or Bass but those are more "dinner" beers and aren't that good when it's warm out or if you are trying to do something halfway recreational.

Well, a cheap drunk ain't too bad :)

Seriously though, I am, by no means, a beer connoisseur. That's why I was asking for suggestions...

ANY beer from Belgium is good, but stay away from brown ales if you don't like bitter beers. Duvel is NOT worth the premium you pay for a limited release import.

If you like lagers get anything that is imported from Munich.

Gonna have to differ on the Duvel. Went down smooth in a nice restaurant in Hasselt. My last night in Europe, though, was in Brussels and the Leffe that night was just utterly incredible! :D

Worst Beer
1. Budweiser / Bud Light

I totally disagree!

Bud light is a drink the whole 12 pack beer in one night beer. I enjoy bud light on the weekends. I also enjoy the dark beers like Sam Adams, Guinness and Shiner bock. These beers I drink in moderation to enjoy the taste and texture of the beer. I also enjoy tasting beers that I have never tried before. But to say Bud light is a bad beer is just plain wrong. It's a less expensive beer that leaves me with no hang over in the morning. Which makes me happy. :)

Coors and Budweiser and their light counterparts are the best.

I agree. Living in the south, I tend to want any liquid to be a refreshing drink and generally don't go for drinks that warm me up (which is why I don't drink coffee) or are too filling. Coors are Coors Light are the best of the American beers in that respect IMO. Bud and Bud Light are ok, but I don't care for them as much.

Corona is definitely the best in the 'light and refreshing, I need to cool down' taste department which is why it's become my beer of choice most of the time. Between Corona and Coors I really don't drink all that many other brands. Amstel Light, Dos Equis and the occasional Heineken are the only others I regularly drink because they're widely available and I know what to expect. The Belgian beers and some of the other dark ales are just too heavy tasting for my tastes.

American beers of the widely available kind are terrible... I mean brutally terrible. Canadian Molson and Labatt beers are better, but still pretty aweful. I've been trying a few different ones recently and I have to say that I really liked whit beers like Hoegaarden and Blanche de Chambly (microbrewed in Qc). If you like a nice dark beer, give Trois Pistoles (again from Qc) a shot, it's good but it's really heavy (and it has 9% alcohol). I hear that La Fin du Monde ("the end of the world" is the literal translation to English) but as you can guess it's got a pretty high alcohol content too.

Also, the worst list beer should mention alcohol-free beer, that stuff is pure crap (0.5%-type beer)

After being stationed in Germany for two years, then returning to the good old USofA...I got mighty spoiled on German Beer. Alot better tasting and a helluvalot stronger.

American Beer = Piss.
~wnied~

On a side note: I do however like the taste of the Belgian Brewed "Chimay Grande." When properly cooled, it's 25.4 ounces of brewed bliss.
