Oakland is better than just a few restaurants and a music venue. The downtown/JLS are was pretty revamped when I was there recently. I was surprised how much better it got.

It is still no where near a #5 place though.

I would like to see London some day, specifically the The Churchill War Rooms. Because Churchill was fvcking crazy, and fvcking awesome. His craziness is very high on the scale of craziness, however, his awesomeness is several orders of magnitude over his craziness. That man could lead! The fact that the English still speak English is a testament to Churchill's Awesomeness!

As much as I love to read and learn about Eisenhower, Patton, FDR, Marshall, Rommel, Monty, Bradley, Zhukov, Chuikov, Wavell, as well as officers like Pavlov (Stalingrad) or Winters (US 101st), I believe Churchill is the most interesting person to learn about.

Anyhow, I propose all "Chuck Norris" facts to be instead, "Winston Churchill" facts. At least there's a higher probability of them being true!

There is nothing about Holland herb that makes it more potent, or technically more desirable than the strains that have been cultivated here, in various parts of the US, for at least as many generations.

OAKLAND????? I went to San Fran 2 years ago. Went to Oakland one day. EVERY PLACE I HIT I GOT THE SAME COMMENT:

"Um, you are gonna be outta here by 4 arent you?".
I dont get nervous anyplace.
I did there and was gone by 2.
Everything from gas stations, to biker shops to Harley stores to a local eatery. I tend to "bond with locals" and every place at least ONE person ask me that question.

Oakland? Really? Epic fail.

If I were you, I would just go on holiday for 2 weeks, maybe the south pacific or something, and rent out your place for something like $600/day during the Olympics.

It's not a bad idea, I've heard some people are getting £2,000 a week :awe: but I'm not that fussed, I don't need the money and my Mum really wants me to go to the games.
 
I work in Uptown Oakland - a mere block from Hawker Fare & Plum.

I've partied at the Fox - great venue.

#6 - more like #166.

I like the place, love working down here, never had any crime problems. The Oscar grants got our building locked down and windows broken out. The Occupy protests had our building graffiti'd and windows broken.

Its hipster central around this place. I love the Chinese food in China Town - amazing good and really cheap with zero tourists. I must admit - I like working here more than I do SF.

SF is a better place to live though.
