Does the end of Unforgiven when Clint Eastwood goes back to the bar for Little Bill count as a gunfight? If so, it may be my favorite.

Joe M.

I thought that shootout was stupid.

at blank range, none of the 10 or so guys hit clint.
wtf?!

I really liked the tension in the final showdown from the Coen Bros' 2010 version of True Grit.

Also, some incredibly tense scenes in one of their previous films: No Country for Old Men

...but those scenes don't have a lot of gunfire.

I'm going to go with "High Noon", yea, it just involves 5 people but it's the tension leading up to it that makes the scene, awesome western in case anyone's never had the chance to see it..

Grosse Pointe Blank.

It also had one of the better hand-to-hand (and pen 🙂 ) fights. It was less flashy but felt more realistic than most H2H fights in films.

D'OH. (hangs head in shame)

Will be coming around the mountain, he he.

Death by TV after knocking em off was interesting.

Unionize you silly hit men.

Just saw 2 Guns the other night it's pretty good too for a CIA/vs DEA/vs Mexican Drug Cartel/vs NIS/ two guys fight at the end.

Actually, I still love watching Grosse Pointe Blank myself a lot, seemed to me a lot of people just didn't get that movie.

And I agree about Leon, the Professional. still one of my favorites.

I'd really have to think about it to get 3 definitive ones.

IMHO I'd say the end of Saving Private Ryan is up there pretty high too, when they set up for the Tigers that are coming roll in.

That was some pretty serious ammo flying about.

I agree, I haven't bought a DVD in ages actually, but I do have Enemy At The Gates.

I was trying to think of a good movie to watch tonight.

I haven't gotten that one out in awhile, thank you.

I recommend it also.

Black Hawk Down has some pretty serious things here and there too.

Probably wouldn't put in my top three but *shrug*

And LA Confidential good for a large amount of ordinance being used well also 😛

Many of my favorites have already been mentioned, but another I rank up there is the final gun standoff/battle in True Romance.

phuk it, the animated ones wouldn't load. And if you don't know the scene, your loss 😛

Tihs was the first thing that came to my mind.
