Any links with a continued sales list? Top 20 is great, but I'd like to see sales info for some lesser known vehicles.

Sales are listed by categories:

Sales Volume, Sedans
Sales Volume, Coupes
Sales Volume, Convertibles
Sales Volume, Wagons
Sales Volume, Pickups
Sales Volume, SUV's
Sales Volume, Vans

It's only up to date til September though.
wow the solara vert sells really well despite being the worst thing toyota makes (in terms of quality)

gm midsized 🙂Disgust😉 SUVs are selling pretty well too, about 260K for the platform.

For some reason, Autosite's coupe and convertible numbers are screwed if the same car is available in more than one style. i.e:

The Camry is available in Sedan, Coupe, and Convertible form. Autosite lists the total sales of ALL Camrys when it shows the sales for the Coupe and Convertible instead of their respective sales that month.

Why they do that, I dunno...😕

somehow i saw that with the mustang but didn't apply the thinking to the camry...

chevy selling more vettes than camaros also stands out. i guess thats why the f-body is getting the axe

NFS4, question for you tho, is this the first year that gmc + Chevy full size pickup sales combined exceeded the sale of F-series or has it always been that way?

It's the first time in about 6 or 7 years I think.

I thought that the combined sales of the GM trucks had been more the F-Series for quite some time.

Nah, just recently AFAIK.

last year, i believe it did as well.

You should add the Sierra and the Silverado's numbers together and stop with the charade 😉

Edit GM Full Size 755,771 🙂 People know who has the best V8's and Drivetrain on the road 😉

Since GM cares so much to differentiate between the two by saying GMC is Professional Grade whereas Chevy is Like a Rock, I'm afraid we can't do that. 🙂

Last year was the first time GM trucks outsold Ford since 1994.

Either way it's an example how automobile marketing is not the best source of info 😉 "Best selling for 25 years in a row" 😉 well single name yes... but as far as drivetrain it's got one healthy compedator and it shows with sales 🙂

Funny it was 94, I would think 96 would have been the catchup year, 94 was still the TBI years :disgust: Ford was by far the king then with a real F.I. system, not a frickin space age Carb 😉

I would have figured that Japanese automakers would have had more than 5 of the top 20.

Yeah I'd figure 5 domestic and 15 Japanese.

But when it comes to a real full sized truck your choices are very limited (except for the Toyota T1000 or whatever it's called).

It's actually quite dumb to combine the Sierra/Silverado IMHO 🙂

If that's the case, why not lump Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon/Yukon XL sales altogether. Afterall, they all share the basic frame, suspension design, dashes, seats, engines, drivertrain, wheels, electrical systems, etc 😀

Or lump Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator sales together.
Or lump Escape/Tribute sales together.
Or how about Ford Ranger and Mazda pickup sales?
Or how about lumping Taurus and Sable sales to say that they "beat" the Accord and Camry (actually, I think it'd barely beat the Accord if you combine sales).

Or is you want to talk simply on the matter of platforms and drivetrains (engine/transmission/chassis/suspension design/unibody structure)...we should all combine:

Camry
Camry Solara
Avalon
Highlander
Sienna
ES300
RX300

All of those combined could make one big uber sales monster 😀

WHERE DOES THE MADNESS END?? 😀

because there are different parts between the Suburban and the Trucks actually,

BUT EVERY part number used on the Sierra can be used on my Silverado... I know.. after my buddy left Jerry Roth I go to Don Massey now, infact thats where I got my 30lb injectors for my truck last month useing Sierra part numbers 😀 😛 which strangly are the same part numbers on the Silverado 30lb injectors 😉

The same could be said about the Ford Ranger/Mazda pickup, Mazda Tribute/Ford Escape, Taurus/Sable. With the exception of the exteriors and interiors, those vehicles are mechanical TWINS with interchangeable parts just like the Sierra/Silverado (which have different exterior designs).

But I don't see NE1 combining their sales figures.

Well lets be smarter then NE1 and combine em then eh?? Still looks like they don't contend for the #1 spot 😉

So we combine the numbers when it makes our vehicles look best, but otherwise screw it? Hmm, brilliant marketing there GM 😀

Seeing as how GMC Envoy + Trailblazer numbers wouldn't beat the Explorer, they didn't bother with that combo 😀

I sure don't see many Chevy's and Fords.

Must be in of those wierd southern states. 😉

I see a good amount, and yes, I live in the south, New Orleans to be exact.

I didn't say to not combine those now did I 😉 you are just reachin again 😛

they don't combine the silverado and the sierra because GM makes the distinction. Why should any marketing report arbitrarily combine figures when a car company is going out of its way to make a distinction??

it's not about mechanics but about marketing right?? the point of sales figures is to see how successful marketing strategies for specific name brands were not to see how well a set of mechanical parts sold.
