Fire Millen!

Uh, how do you fire the owner, too?

I think to fire the owner everyone just has to stop purchasing tickets and jerseys. Pretty soon the problem will sort itself out. Then again, they could always move the team to LA... I can't really see the Ford family doing that, but I couldn't really see them keeping Millen for this many years either, so ???

Pirates number 1. Sounds about right...

What really pisses me off is that they built them a beautiful new stadium. I guess it was the only way we could get a new stadium for the steelers. I wish they would just sell the team so we could concentrate on the two sports people in pittsburgh actually like: Football and Hockey.

Leave the Penguin bandwagon out of this. A few years ago when the team was going bankrupt and nobody showed up to the games, where were all these fans? Oh...they were at home, not showing up to the games. Pens fans are about as fairweather as they come.

Pittsburgh is and always will be a football town. The Penguins could have moved to Kansas City a few years ago and nobody there would have cared. Now that they have Sid the Diver, suddenly the fans flock to the arena.

I cared. I still went to almost a dozen games a year and watched the others on FS-Pgh.

Hell, I was still going to Pirate games till I moved out of town. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic that remembers the good times while forgetting the bad. That or I'm a masochist. I really haven't figured that one out.

Ok, so you were one of the 4,000 who showed up to watch the Lemieux show, starring Martin Straka, Dick Tarnstrom and whoever else they had those "bankruptcy" years. Point remains. They drew 4,000 a night in the tough times, now all of a sudden the bandwagon is in full spirit. You as a loyal fan should recognize this above anyone..if these 'fans' had shown up in the tough years, the Pens never would have had these problems, and would have been good long before this.

I went to many more games during those days than I do now. It's just a fact of life. If a team sucks, not many people are gonna go to their games. Look at jersey. They have a good team, and never even come close to selling out their stadium. That's the indicator of when you have a sport in a town that noone cares about.

What about the Orioles?

They were good back in the Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray & Ripken days.

Until Angelo sells them, they are going to remain absolutely pathetic.
