And there's the problem. Everyone is concerned about what the other guy is doing, but they couldn't care less about the ways they are hurting freedom in this country. If I hear one more conservative bitch about how oppressed Christians are, while at the same time arguing against the 4th amendment, I'm going to have to hit someone in the face. And that goes equally for liberals as well, although I think we are far less annoying about it.

In all honesty, the quote tree just looked like a bunch of whining about how I had attacked the idea that quality of life in the USA is somehow better than other places. It is anything but. You don't even need to look past the health-care industry to know that we're failing to provide an honest playing field for people to succeed, but you can, and it gets much worse.

I actually don't think that any place is safe from these kind of monsters, though, just look at the pig-dog that was elected in France. He's trying to take away a health-care system that works wonders. Why? For the profit of a few. And that's just one man, we've got a whole battalion of assholes in the US government, and many more special interest pricks waiting for their cut of the profit. This is not economic and social growth, it is elitism.

That is the type of person who runs the USA, the money grubbing little shit who couldn't care less about anyone else but themselves.

Sure, the US could become a fascist state. Anything is possible. However, the slide towards fascism is a long one from where we are and realistically we are nowhere close to becoming a fascist state. If you want to know what moivates people to post videos like that, it's the same sort of attitude that claimed we were going socialist under Clinton or those who claim our downfall will arise from becoming too liberal and too permissive of a society. I don't buy that bullshit either. Nor, I'd be willing to wager, do you. Fascism is nothing like the correlative parallels that the video attempts to present in 1/2 second flashing snippets like some lame MTV video. And as long as you can view such videos freely we haven't even begun the slide towards such a state. They'll be the first to go and that will be a true sign. When such videos are banned, or discussion forums like this are shut down, then I'll show concern. Till then the claim is pure fantasy.

Tell you what, you just keep hoping for YOUR sake and mine that "paranoia, out of touch, conspiracy loonies" like me are forever wrong. I sincerely do hope that I will remain a "lunatic conspiracy nut job", myself and every other "nut jobs" out there. Do you know anything about FEMA camps? There are roughly 800 of them out there. Model our military doctrine and world military action after that of some other World War II era regime and see how different it is (then add those FEMA camps in the picture), and you'll get the idea. Eventually, it'll all come together, but of course you'll be well entrenched in the "mainstream party line" by then wouldn't you...

Ya know about the only thing I'm 100% sure on is that hardcore conservatives are going to freak you out with "zomg Jesus and terrorists" and liberals will freak you out with "zomg Global Warming and fascism!"

The fact that conservatives push their religion on you while bitching about terrorists while liberals push political correctness anti-free speech bullshit while bitching about fascism is really just the icing on the cake.


Its really just a matter of which sides fear mongering you prefer I suppose.

If fascism comes to America, it won't be from just one party.

Look at the war in Iraq, the creation of the DHS, and the Patriot Act. Ideas from one party, no resistance from the other.

No it isn't a good point. We have every opportunity to prevent this via non-violent means. Through better voting, protest, etc. Why make our children create change via guns and IED's when we can make change with poster boards and megaphones?
