Top 10 PSN games of 2008

Link - A playstation podcast called Pulse recently revealed the top 10 downloaded PSN games of 2008. I would have thought that R&C: Quest for Booty would have done better than #10 but half of the games on the list come from 2007 so they obviously had a longer time on PSN to be purchased.

Forgive me being new to the PS3, but how do these games work? You download them from Sony? Are they free or is there a cost?

Well, again...it seems like games released later in 2008 (W:HD released in late September) didn't do as well as game released earlier in 2008 or 2007.

Almost sounds like PSN benefits more from 'long-tail' type sales whereas XBL has big sales for games when they come out and only a few have long tails.

You download them from the Playstation store on the PS3. Some have demos, some don't. They typically cost between $5 and $15 but some games like Warhawk cost $30-$40
