heard of 3, saw 0

Must be young. Enemy Mine, Brazil and Gattica are classics.

Very good list. Must watch. Everyone should watch Enemy Mine. I could watch it over and over. Gattica and Brazil have to watch 2 times or more to really pick up on things.

I remember watching Enemy Mine for the first time like 20 years ago on a late saturday night when my local station just played movies after the news. Loved it.

Dark City is even better, that move is just plain great.

Gattica and Brazil are both pretty good, Brazil gets a little long though.

Pitch Black is ok, nothing great, but didn't mind it.

Didnt see any of the others.

I'm definitely a nerd, I've seen all of them except Stalker and Code 46.

The Quiet Earth belongs on the list more than well-known films like Gattaca and Pitch Black.

I've seen 7 of them. It's very hard for me to get into movies over 20 years old, so I doubt I'll watch any of the others.

I've seen Enemy Mine, Equilibrium, Pitch Black, Dark City, and Gattaca. They're ok, but are deservedly not that popular in my opinion.

eXistenz sounds pretty shitty to me, like a crappy Tron or Lawnmower Man (the latter of which should be on this list actually).

only seen equilibrium and pitch black. which i thought everyone had seen, just because they weren't blockbusters doesn't make them that 'overlooked.'

i've been meaning to watch gattaca and existenz. the latter just seems too fucking odd to ignore.

Only ones I haven't seen are Stalker and eXistenZ. Added to netflix queue. Most of these I thought should be pretty well known.

Interesting list. I've seen about half and might add another one or two to the list.

Equilibrium was a bit too low on the list for my tastes :p
I enjoyed Brazil due to the over-the-top story telling

I have seen some, heard of others, and haven't heard of the rest. The biggest surprise, to me, was "Pitch Black." It made an actor famous and resulted in an over-priced sequel so I wouldn't consider it "forgotten." Additionally while I enjoyed the movie well enough, I really wouldn't consider it a great awe-inspiring sci-fi flick. Hell "Robocop" was probably more of a mind-fuck sci-fi-ish movie than "Pitch Black."

Have seen:
Equilibrium
Pitch Black (own on DVD)
Dark City (own on BD)

Have been meaning to see:
Gattaca

The list has made me want to see:
eXistenZ
Stalker
maybe Brazil. The comedic twist to the dark world concept sounds intriguing!

Stalker - my Russian skills definitely aren't up to the level where I'd really be able to enjoy it in Russian, though I'd definitely want to, and would do so with subtitles first.

I saw Night Watch first in Russian (w/subtitles... maybe, can't remember) at a Russian culture film night on campus. And that was before more advanced Russian courses.

Enemy Mine is one of those 80s film that was real big at the time and has since disappeared.

Pitch Black.... is this some kind of inside joke?? The movie sorta sucked. The whole premise was stupid. A planet with 3 suns full of creatures who can't go out into the light.... ummm yea... Give me xXx over this movie any day

I'm not sure I'd call Brazil overlooked, it's a classic... we watched it in Film 101 in college.
