I'm saying Kleenex needs to be on the list. We've turned the brand name into a word describing any brand of similar products. There are other words like that, but I'm sure it's the most commonly used.

LOL. I bet that list pisses off Bill Gates! His OS is on 90% of the world's computers and his biggest competitor tops the list...while Microsoft is nowhere to be found in the top 10!

I'm sure he's really pissed that his company makes billions in revenue.

Hmm I wonder how much of thier income is from thier Mac's, I would think Ipod is the bulk of thier income.

Based on a quick google search, it looks like the ipod is about 20-25% of thier revenue.

Sounds to me like "most hyped" or "most talked about", certainly not "most influential"

I mean, just look at the defense industry. With the possible exception of McDonald's, what highly visible corporations have been responsible for destroying entire countries?;)

But how have the likes of Kimberly Clark (Kleenex), Xerox, MS, GM, GE, etc influenced the world this past year?

That doesn't really explain away Coca-Cola and Ebay being on the list, though.
