You are such a tool. This "list" bullshit is the oldest trick in the book. Don't like someone? Put them on a list and call them dangerous. But it's SO stupid I can't believe people keep falling for it. You might not like their politics, but just how is the ACLU "dangerous" for America? Someone needs to hit you guys in the head with a dictionary.

Those of your ilk always have their lists.

Am I the only person who finds lists like this just a little TOO fascist sounding, even for conservatives? Every time someone starts writing down a list of "dangerous" people, it always seems to be followed by black lists or detention camps or something terrible.

And number one on my extreme danger list is GWB&co. Organized insanity at its finest. Corrupting almost evrything it touches.

Nice. The KKK? Psh, they're not a problem either. Street gangs? Nah.

ACLU - yeah, sometimes I think they go a bit too far. But that's about it.

Universities and colleges? Well yeah, knowledge is dangerous. A more educated population would be more ably to see how badly the government tries to screw us over, while telling us that we like it. A stupid population is much easier to control.
Maybe NASA should be on there - after all, their COBE mission provided the best evidence to date of the Big Bang, and they keep trying to learn about our origins, and about the Universe. Damn heathen blasphemers.

Followed by the usual, "If you aren't doing anything wrong, why worry?" Problem is, the definition of "wrong" keeps changing. You'd think that just being black, or maybe being Jewish wouldn't be "wrong." Depending on who you ask, either of those could be a capital offense. Hopefully such things as freedom of speech, freedom of press, and freedom of assembly won't become "wrong."

I don't know, actually. At first I objected to the idea of the list, much less to the content, but now I kind of see the point. Back in the day, I used to consider myself quite the conservative, and a big one of the reasons that's no longer the case is that it's a lot of work. Trying to remember all the groups you're supposed to hate, and in what ORDER you're supposed to hate them, can be quite a challenge. Especially if your ideology doesn't exactly encourage stressing the old neurons.

Having a nice, easy to reference list the clearly spells out who to hate, and the priority of hating, could solve a lot of problems for the right. I mean, without a handy reference like this, if the ACLU was challenging a policy at a university, it would be hard for the average conservative foot soldier to figure out which side to root for or against. Now, thanks to the list, they could see that universities are more dangerous than the ACLU, so they should root for the ACLU, even if the ACLU would normally be dangerous. But if the ACLU then turned around and challenged the Muslim Student Association, then the ACLU would be the bad guys. You can see how confusing this could become without a handy reference guide telling you what to think. You scoff at the list, but I think more things like this would do the right a world of good. In fact, there should just be a group of radio and TV shows where the average conservative can tune in to be told exactly how to think, freeing them from having to perform ideological calisthenics to keep their thinking sharp.

Oh, wait...

I'd agree. Except for #1. I am a member of a Catholic Church. Sure, they go on missionaries and stuff but they provide services to those who come to them, but they don't force anybody to be Catholic, and don't really do anything bad. Typically their services such as Hospitals, Schools, etc are typically very good. They aren't dangerous, unless you consider religion dangerous in itself, and I'm more scared of anti-religious people than I am of muslims. But its a good list none the less.

I like your list much better. LOL @ Pabster agreeing with Family Security Matters. Gotta give him credit for having the courage to look like such a boob. :D

Edit: Oh, I'd take the WTO off there.

Now you're thinking too much. ThinkProgress has been bumped. You're now #10. Watch out.

MSA? They are nothing but a bunch of students who are Muslim.

Are you kidding me?

Sadly, no, I'm not kidding. They're fanatical. Perhaps you don't recall the Dr. Pipes shenanigans?

Now you're not even trying. Come on, gay people, atheists, the EFF opposes warrantless wiretapping, surely you can make a place for those organizations. In fact, a top ten list is pretty constrictive for conservatives, I think. As far as I can tell, a list of who you guys hate, ranked by how much you hate them, would look more like this.

1. Liberals
1. Everyone on the entire planet who doesn't hang out in Bill O'Reilly's garage, huffing paint

I think you need to look that word up in the dictionary, you keep using it, but I don't think it means what you think it means. Expressing an opposing opinion does not make you a fanatic, particularly when it's someone as anti-Muslim as Dr. Pipes.
