Welcome to Florence, AZ. See seven governors!

Florence is the site of the what was Arizona's main prison. With the explosion of the prison industrial complex (corruption right there) the joke has been somewhat diluted.

Surprisingly, Arizona is at #17 for least corrupt states.

At risk of putting my foot in my mouth, from my very rudimentary knowledge and intuition of these kind of analyses, it looks like political ideology of both government officials and the local populace are the least correlated variable of all variables looked at (Tables 7-10), across all forms of expenditure. :hmm:

Dems can be corrupt, never said they couldn't, please quote where I said this explicitly. Obviously Red states (which apparently have more repubs vs dems) have more corruption than Blue states (which have more dems vs repubs).

That's not what it says, it says that Red states arrest and convict their corrupt politicians more often than Blue states. It seems that you guys have more tolerance for criminal behavior from your elected officials, like Marion Berry.

In Saudi Arabia you can leave your wallet in the street and go back and get it the next day. They nail the hands of people wh o steal on the walls of buildings in public places. The high conviction rate and the certainty of punishment makes crime almost non exostant. This is why, in Southern and othe red states, where they convict people of corruption, these places never appear on high corruption lists just like Saudi Arabia. Lists that show otherwise, to any brain defective conservative, are obviously phony. The conservative brain defect, prevents logical thinking.

What about District of Columbia ?

Just because some things aren't written in law doesn't mean it's not corruption.

Like ... going to the lakeside chats and contemplating the destruction of the United States and american culture as we know it, basically having all the coporations working as a network.
