Top 10 Headphone Deals

This is a terrible list just because they have the Bose headphones on there alone. What about the JVC HA-RX700 headphones, Grado SR-60, etc.? Hell, JVC makes a pair of headphones that look and sound almost the exact same as the Bose, but they're priced under $40. Apparently they're more comfortable, too.

I think my Razer Earbuds for $30 sound about 75% as good as a "great" set of earbuds at about 10% of the price. Sound quality isn't an issue from some piece of shit Ipod anyway. I see no point in spending 300 dollars on earbuds.

I think they are overprice, 20% for each model. If you want to pour big money on to it then go for bose, but I really can't see any descent deals there.

Go to head-fi.org if you want some real advice.

Otherwise, post your listening preferences so we can offer advice on which earphones suit your tastes. Two high grade earphones can sound vastly different, and neither one is considered better than the other. It all boils down to personal taste.
Do you like your music to sound bassy? Or do you focus more on the details? Do you want to feel the environment the music is in?

Unless you like bass. I've had Shure e2cs and SCL4s and both were quite lacking the bass department. The sound I'm sure is good for some folk, but I won't go that route again.

Bass =/= good music/sound. These things aren't to bang out ghetto beats and sound like $25 Walmart headphones.

If you are into rock/metal/rap these are pretty damn good for $13:

I've got the same thing when it was called "i-metal" and they are very comfortable and have incredible bass for an earbud. It's not something you can use for jogging/exercise though. They are too heavy and fall out easily. Great for jamming out at my desk while at work.

Did you let them warm up and the the speaker break in a little bit? When I got my SCL4's I thought the same until about 2 weeks later after heavy use.

The one you are talking about is the Maximo i-Metal series (490, 590). The one you linked to is not an i-Metal, it's a lookalike.
