I spent two years in combat operations in Vietnam. I've seen a LOT more gruesome ways to die than in those pics...

Those are perhaps more torturous, but not all that gruesome.

To think, people do stuff like that to animals today, and don't even think twice about it. Stuff like this probably still goes on to people in underdeveloped countries too. Sickning.

But yeah...it is definitely sickening. I couldn't even imagine coming up with those methods- there are some twisted minds out there..

I read/heard about an execution method where a person is tied down and a metal spike impales them over the course of a few days. I almost think that would be worse mentally than physically.

Edit: Death by nail clippers would be pretty bad too I guess.

I could pretty easily come up with worse ways and am surprised there hasn't been more brutal methods of execution that have become widespread.

There was one method an old teacher of mine told me about that seemed pretty bad.

Basically they'd put a two boards beside each of your legs (kind of like full leg splints), then pack them with sawdust and tie them as tight as they possibly could. They'd then put your legs together and tie ropes around both legs as tight as possible, squishing your legs. Then, wedges would be driven in between the boards that are sandwiched between your legs, compressing them further, to the point where all your bones in your legs would shatter and your blood vessels would burst. Your legs would be just smashed pieces of meat. Oh, and they'd whack your feet with a hammer until they were all smashed too. Then they'd undo all the ropes and let you flop around on stage in agony in front of all the townspeople, then string you up and let the birds go at you.

Amsterdam has a Torture Museum in which you can see pretty much the worst people would do to eachother in the past. Good way to get nauseous if you have a vivid imagination.

people are fucking disgusting, my mind fills with rage for about 5 mins and then sadness(i'm usually very calm and never get angry) when reading about sadism in general, which I usually avoid. It's hard for me to understand this inhumanity, or shall I say humanity.

wow, whats the point of doing all that if you're going to kill them anyway? You are wasting extra resources utilising those methods when a simple firing squad will do, does anyone find any point in doing that?
