Toothbrush - Manual or Electric?

Which do you use/prefer?

I've always used a manual toothbrush in the past, but I got an electric one (Sonicare) about 6 months ago and it's great. My teeth feel a lot cleaner.

LOL- close your damn mouth 😀 My wife was like that because she was trying to "scrub" with it like a regular toothbrush and it would spray everywhere. You're supposed to rest the bristles on each tooth and slowly move in an up/down motion.

This. I drink a lot of coffee and haven't had any coffee stains on my teeth since I've been using the sonicare toothbrush.

Once I bought my Sonicare most of my problems went away.

Its an amazing device. Only regret is that I didn't start using it a few decades ago...

My periodontist says the small round one is best, because the brush head is correctly sized and shaped to thoroughly clean one tooth at a time.

But then again, the Fugger hires assistants who do deep gum cleanings with jackhammers, angle grinders, and steel wire brushes. 😱:screwy:

Recommendation is 3 months if you brush twice a day at 2 mins each. I normally replace them every 6 months.

I use a manual toothbrush. Can I take an electric toothbrush in the shower? Probably not. That's where I brush my teeth every morning.

had a sonicare and it was great, unfortunately the battery died after 5 years. have yet to replace it, but i want to. didn't know costco sold them cheap...will check next time i'm there.

I bought one of the cheap Sonicare E series toothbrushes on Black Friday a couple of years ago for $35 bucks or so? It is pretty awesome, and the battery lasts a long time between charges. I only charge it every 3 weeks.
