Took system apart due to powersupply, now no video signal

I took the computer that I built last August apart because I thought I the computer would shut off randomly. I'm pretty sure it's not the power supplies fault. Anyway, When I only have the video card, memory, cpu, motherboard, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and power-switch from the case setup, I can't get a video signal. The system will start, the fans on the cpu and video card spin but no video signal. What's the problem? My video card used to work before I took my system apart!

Can you try the videocard in another system to make sure it still works?

(I'm not saying it's the videocard, no video can pretty much be any component failing at this point)

Maybe this will help you all help me troubleshoot: I tried another video card in the system and there was no video signal. So I think this means it's not the video card. What else should I check?

Well... have you tried the easy stuff?

(resetting CMOS, reseating the ram and checking the power connections?)

is the 12v connector attached (if you need one)?

what model video card is it? (I know my friend's 9700PAIW has issues with some motherboards, both the original card and the replacement from RMA)

It's an 9800 Pro in an Epox 8KDA3J. I have tried resetting the Cmos, reseating the ram and checking the power connections.

Did you recently install stuff into the case?

Maybe the motherboard is being shorted out on the case.

You can eliminate this possibility by taking everything out of the case and setting the mb on a piece of cardboard and putting all the necessary components in it there outside the case.

is everything seated properly...ive seen motherboards (specifically dell ones) that wont even post because an IDE cable isnt seated right
