Went to the $2.00 theatre where they show movies forever. Decided to try Devil's Rejects in hopes of a scary good ol' time. Turned into the most revolting/disgusting/pointless/plotless movie I've seen in a very long time.

I'm a lover of odd film, horror films, death films, etc,. But this movie was simply ridiculous. We walked out 30min in and snuck in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which was also horrible.

you are crazy. Devils rejects was such a badass movie. However I thought it was a lot more "serious" than the first one, in that the first one was a stupid horror flick w/mindless killing and stuff. This one wasn't even scary at all and seemed just like a bunch of serial killers. it definitely took a lot more of a serious tone than the House of 1000 corpses. You are stupid for leaving in the first 30 mins. You hardly saw anything in the movie. The opening scene was badass as well. my GF enjoyed this movie greatly as well.

also did you even see the first one? the first one is way more disgusting than this one. it also explains the story a lot more.

 for devils rejects, great movie for its type. you just suck at movies :p

I won't watch Devil's Rejects because I have seen House of 1000 Corpses.
At first I thought that House was experimental cinematography, but I soon realized that it was not. It has no form or function, and to me, more closely resembles what happens when you give a teenager a new video camera and he starts to play with the different filters. It seems like the director simply, and randomly, chooses an effect to use with no consideration on why he is using that effect or what type of mood he was trying to build. He then edits the final film with that same concept, just randomly cutting scenes. The story itself is standard slasher with nothing new to add, and done considerable better in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Unless someone can tell me that Devil's Rejects has more too offer then this, I have no intention of ever seeing it, and can fairly label these movies as nothing more then proof that being popular does not make you a director.

I don't think this movie was created for you.

Edit: I mean, the vein of talent and experience don't flow so freely through this one.

Dude its MUCH better than House of 1000 Corpses. it's not even along the same genre IMO. It's more about a group of serial killers than a mindless horror flick. The whole cinematography of this film is much better than the first one IMO. It gives it a great 70's feel to it as well. The acting is better in this one as well I think. The main characters don't seem as looney in this one either.

Trust me man its fvcking awesome. IMDB gives it over a 7, whereas House of 1000 corpses is just over a 5. Seeing the first one helps though cause you will understand the story more.

The OP is definitely crazy. Devils Rejects was probably the best horror flick I've seen all year. None of that PG-13 retarded, tame, pointless flicks such as Boogyman, the Grudge, the Ring 2, etc. Rob's movies are what makes horror movies worth watching, if you don't have the stomach for it, don't bother. To me he's a revolutionary in this cult genre.

Huge thumbs up for Rob!!!

Actually I have a friend who's a film critic for our local weekly giveaway tabloid, and he specifically recommended DR to me (I haven't seen it yet). He loved it.

I as well took my g/f to see this on opening night. She hated Hof1KC and hated me for making her see that, but she absolutely LOVED this one.

How can you not love a movie in which someone is running around in their underwear with someone elses face attached to them? That's awesome!

...stupid chicken f<>cker... (fyi, if you didn't see the movie you don't know what I'm talking about..and if you left in the first 30 minutes you don't either..so don't think I'm calling him that)
