just install the following

sonata case
abit nf7-s
thermaltake silentboost

can hear metal vibration...slight clanging when pc is on

did i screw the motherboard to the washers of the case too much or not enough?

what other culprit do u think it could be??

it also seems silentboost is not that silent (this thing weighs a ton)
i was using the speeze whisperock? from newegg and the whirring i hear is about the same now
(or maybe just sensitive to noise when sleeping)

Probably to loose
could be a loose drive, fan panel just about anything. easiest way to check is run it with the side off and start touching mount points, when you find the one, it will quiet down, and you may feel it shift a little.

My Sonata has the same problem. You have to really tighten the side door screws. Try holding the side door and see if it makes the sound.
