Too-pushy customer: backfire

Went to McDs this morning and was in line behind a woman who was taking a very long time ordering. I moved a little closer and learned the delay was because the customer had a fistful of coupons and was arguing with the clerk about using them on different items.

Clerk: That coupon is for a Sausage McMuffin, you can't use it on a Sausage McMuffin WITH EGG.
Customer: Yeah, just charge me for the egg and have them put it on the sandwich.

Then the customer pushed again on another coupon (to use it on a slightly different item). At this point the clerk gave up and said she would need to get the manager.

Manager comes over and immediately says the coupons can only be used on the exact item printed on the coupon. The customer insists the manager is wrong and there is flexibility. Manager says no. Customer says "I work at a McDonalds and we do that all the time."

Manager says: You work at a McDonalds?
Customer (almost shouting): YES I DO, that's why I'm saying you can be flexible.
Manager: You aren't allowed to use any coupons. You could have taken them right out of the register. (To clerk) Don't take any coupons from her.

Oops.
 
Right after that the lady leaped the counter and beat the manager with her Ebola. It will be on the news later.
 
Don't 'ya just love it when F-ing people try to pay with expired or maxed CC's or digging through their pockets trying to remember where they put their $$, wake the F up assholes, the rest of us want to finish shopping and get home before the day's over..
 
a sausage mcmuffin doesn't have egg? just sausage and maybe a slice of cheese on an english muffin? people eat that?

Cheese is extra I think...

I will admit to double fisting sausage-egg-cheese McMuffins when they were 2 for 2 back in the day. I was broke and in school. Would come home from work at 6AM, eat those, sleep, getup go to school and not eat again until 6AM the following morning when I got off work. Lather, rinse, repeat, 6 days a week. 🙂

At the time, no way you could get a hot meal with that much protein for less bucks.

Around here they're on the dollar-menu ... I get them once in awhile but in my opinion the egg is well worth the extra 39 cents it costs.
 
Wow, what a crushing blow for the woman. What's she going to do now, it's not like there are any other McDonalds locations.

Sure, there are other McDonald's, but I bet the look on her face was priceless for that Manager and Worker.
