Too much Ram?

I have an MSI KT3 Ultra Via KT333 mainboard with an AMD Athlon XP2100 Processor. I am wanting to increase my RAM from 256 MEG to 768 by adding two more modules. I am a beginner Flight Simmer. Question: Is there such a thing as too much RAM?

There's no such thing as too much ram...but....768 is a little overkill for today. 512 works fine for most people.

KT333 boards can loose a little stability with all of their memory banks populated. I recommend using as few sticks of RAM as possible.

The reason is with more sticks of RAM you get greated capcitance and crosstalk in the memory lines.

I would go with 512 since you can do that with two sticks of RAM and it should be enough for you.
